Who we are
Kairos ("we", "us", "our") publishes daily self-affirmations at kairosself.com and through the Kairos iOS app. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect on the website
- Server logs. Standard request information — IP, user agent, requested URL, timestamp — kept by our hosting provider (Cloudflare) for abuse prevention and basic analytics. Retention is limited and tied to Cloudflare's defaults.
- No accounts on the website. kairosself.com has no signup, no profile, no comments. We do not track individual visitors with cookies we control.
- Third-party advertising (Google AdSense). Pages may display ads served by Google. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at google.com/settings/ads or via aboutads.info.
- Cookies. We use a small set of strictly
functional cookies set by Cloudflare for security
(e.g.
__cf_bm). Advertising cookies, when present, are set by Google, not by us.
What the iOS app collects
- Local-only data by default. Favorites, streaks, reminder times, custom affirmations, and theme choices live on your device. We don't see them.
- Sign-In with Apple or Google (optional). If you sign in to sync, we receive an opaque user identifier and (if you allow it) your email and display name. We use these only to identify your account.
- Catalog sync. The app fetches affirmation
text from
kairosself.com/api/v1/affirmations. This request is anonymous — no user identifier is sent. - Notifications. If you enable daily affirmation reminders, the iOS system schedules them locally. We do not run a notification server.
- Photos. Profile photo and custom-background images stay on your device. They are never uploaded.
How we use information
- To deliver the website and the app.
- To prevent abuse and respond to security issues.
- To show ads that fund free reading on the website.
- To improve the catalog of affirmations (in aggregate, never per user).
What we don't do
- We don't sell personal data.
- We don't track website visitors across other sites with our own analytics.
- We don't read or transmit affirmations you write yourself in the app.
- We don't email you. There's no newsletter.
Your choices
- Browser settings. You can block or delete cookies at any time. The website does not require cookies to function.
- iOS controls. You can disable notifications and photo library access from iOS Settings → Kairos.
- Account deletion. If you signed in, contact us at support@kairosself.com to delete your account and any synced data.
- AdSense opt-out. Use Google's Ads Settings to control personalized advertising.
Children
Kairos is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in jurisdictions that require it). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
International transfers
Our infrastructure (Cloudflare) operates a global edge network. Requests may be served from a data center near you. By using Kairos you consent to processing in the regions where Cloudflare operates.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
